The mission of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) is as follows:
• To promote and provide financial support for all areas of research in the field of health, including basic, clinical and epidemiological research, research in the field of public health and research in the field of health services; to promote and provide financial support for the dissemination of scientific knowledge in fields of health research; • To promote and provide financial support for the training of researchers through merit scholarships for graduate and postgraduate students and persons who engage in postdoctoral research and through professional development scholarships for persons who wish to re-enter the research community; • To create any necessary partnership, in particular with universities, colleges and health care institutions, and the government departments and public bodies concerned.
In partnership with national and international leaders in life sciences, Génome Québec contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of the genomics innovation system in order to maximize its socioeconomic impact in Québec, by funding major genomic research research initiatives and putting in place the tools necessary for scientific and strategic development in the field.
The funds invested by Génome Québec are provided by the Québec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Export Trade (MEIE), the Government of Canada through Genome Canada and private partners.
Montréal InVivo is an economic development organization dedicated to the creation of a business environment that fosters innovation and growth of companies and organizations in the life sciences and health technologies (LSHT) sector.
The cluster assumes a leadership role in rallying the cluster’s players around common goals aimed at ensuring the growth and competitiveness of LSHT in Greater Montréal and throughout Québec.
The cluster comprises almost 600 organizations, including more than 150 research centres, 80 subsidiaries of world-class companies, and 40,000 people employed in the sector. Canada’s Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies is the national association representing the voice of Canada’s innovative pharmaceutical industry. We serve our membership by advocating for policies that enable the discovery, development and delivery of innovative medicines and vaccines to improve the lives of all Canadians.

The Biotech City is the Montreal Metropolitan biotechnology and life science cluster including a dedicated technology park that was created by a partnership between LAVAL TECHNOPOLE and the INRS (Institut national de la recherche scientifique).
